Can anyone shed some light on how k-epsilon is implemented in a CFD code. My basic questions are,
1. we have one equation for K and one for epsilon. now how do i calculate k and epsilon for each node for each direction. 2. also, where k and epsilon are calculated in the procedure if anyone can share the piece of the code.. not the complete but only the turbulence modeling part.. that would be of real great help.. actually, i dont have anyone to teach me here so i am trying to learn by myself and having a hard time. thanks in advance. |

Are you sure we can have k and epsilon values of different directions? k and epsilon equations are scalar equations. for each iteration, after you obtain velocity components, density, or even pressure, you then can update the k and epsilon of current node. For more details of the calculation procedure, you can refer "An introduction to computational fluid dynamics" by H.K. Versteeg et.al.Hope this helps.
