2D Cavitation Convergence Problem

New here in this great forum.
I'm making a 2D model for cavitation in a valve.
There are some things I would like to discuss:
- Is standard k-omega the most suitable viscous model for this?
- Do I need small yplus?
But main problem is: It just converges with not accurate solution methods: SIMPLE, first order things and so on.
Any idea?? Some help would be great. Thanks
