Validation of wind turbine simulations using experimental data of much lower Re

I'm trying to find the best turbulence model for the airflow around horizontal axis wind turbines. Previous investigations showed that we're looking at Reynolds numbers of 1-5 *10e6 for real live applications. However when looking for experimental data for validation they tend to be in the range of 10e5, while it's possible to find data for the right Re for cl, cd and cm from Abbott, this is certainly the case if you're interested in a flow field around an airfoil or when you're looking at wind tunnel experiments.
Now my question, does anyone have some experience on how to handle this problem? Since the flowfield may be potentially different between 10e5 and 10e6 this validation method may be misleading in choosing an appropriate turbulence model.
