I am doing a simulation in which there is a shaft inserted in a tank but unlike impeller. I can't assume the shaft to have a cylindrical volume domain but take the actual geometry of the total shaft portion. My doubt is whether an interface should be given between the shaft portion and the fluid because there is no flow of fluid through the shaft.
