resolution near the wall

Is it possible to simulate the burst structure in the near-wall region, i.e. y^+ < 30 or so, by the method of large eddy simulation? For example, in channel flow, how to determine whether the grid spacing is small enough to resolve such structure in this region?
I have read some papers of DNS in which the burst is detected based on DNS database, but I cannot find any clue of the grid resolution capable of burst-resolving. does anyone have experience in such a problem? please do me a favor, tell me how to do or where to find how to do. best regards! |
