Thermochemical data.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to try and understand the thermochemical data of Burcat etc. I am having difficulty understanding, for example, how the polynomial data for say, enthalpy, can be used to give me burnt temperature if I know that I have a CH4 and air lean premixed system at room temperature (298.15K). It seems to use the room temperature to calculate the enthalpy and then uses that enthalpy to give a burnt temperature, all using the polynomial data. The system is constant enthalpy since it is adiabatic and constant pressure and volume. How does a constant Enthalpy system affect the equation" Ho_subscriptT = Delta_f_Ho_298 + (Integral from 298 to T) of Cp_o dT. where Delta_f_Ho_298 is the enthalpy of formation and CP is the specific heat at constant pressure. If the enthalpy doesn't change in the system between burnt and unburnt states, then what happens to the terms in this equation for example in a CH4-air or Propane-air reaction. Any books or ideas are appreciated. |

search a JCP paper "High accuracy numerical methods for thermally perfect gas flows with Chemistry" by Fedkiw and Osher. It may be help.
