Hello
Does anyone know any books, articles or other available texts describing known problems with the Rhie-Chow interpolation method? Thanks in advance. Knut Erik |

Read following papers,
(1) Under-relaxation factor problem --- S. Majumdar, "Role of Underrelaxation in Momentum Interpolation for Calculation of Flow with Nonstaggered Grids" Numerical Heat Transfer, Vol. 13. pp. 125-132, 1988. (2) Time step problem --- S. K. Choi "Note on the Use of Momentum Interpolation Method for Unsteady Flows", Numerical Heat Transfer, Part A, Vol. 36, pp. 545-550, 1999. (3) Large body force --- S. K. CHoi, S. O. Kim, C. H. Lee and H. K. Choi, "Use of the Momentum Interpolation Method for Flows with a Large Body Force", Numerical Heat Transfer, Part B, Vol. 43, pp. 267-287, 2003. Also see --- B. Yu, Y. Kawaguchi, W. Q. Tao and H. Ozoe, "Checkerboard Pressure Predictions due to the Underrelaxation Factor and Time Step Size for a Nonstaggered Grid with Momentum Interpolation Method", Numerical Heat Transfer Part B, Vol. 41. pp. 85-94, 2002. I hope this helps. Halim Choi |
