Hi, im currently modelling 2d water waves propagating alomg the surface of water. Im having an issue with the wave dampening out and experiencing dispersion effects after very few wave propagations. I am usin PISO scheme with 2nd oredr aapproach for momentum. Further to this i am specify the wave inout through a velocity inlet with specified wave amplitude, wave length and celerity based around deep and shallow water criteria.
Does anybody know what the flat and wavy initialisation conditions for the open channel bc does?? When i select wavy its gives me an initial condition of the propagating wave befor i have even run the simulation. Further to thi it just amplifies the waves until the fill the whole fluid volume i set. Any help will be grateful im kind of at a standstill with it. Thanks in advance |
