Hi all,
I could really do with some help here, I am working on a masters dissertation to study windflow over a motorcycle and rider. I am particularly interested in a particular adventure motorcycle (BMW F800gs). I could not find a detailed model of this motorcycle online so I bought a very detailed 1:10 scale model with the intention of scanning it. We have a faro laser scanning arm at my uni and I have got some very good scans of the various parts. My problem is that the parts start as point cloud data which are then converted to a polygon mesh (about 500000 faces) and I have been relatively unsuccessful at geting surfaces (nurbs or parametric) from the polygon information. My question is - is there a way to create a CFD surface mesh directly from the polygon mesh? possibly using ICEM? Example of polygon mesh: Underside Plastics.jpg Thanks in advance |
