Wall distance

Can anybody direct me where to find the algorithm to calculate nearest wall distance, i wish to implement SA model, and this needs wall distance.

There is a paper by P.G. Tucker in Journal of Computational Physics, Vo. 190(2003) p. 229 which deals with this issue. It appears far from straightforward for complex geometries

yes its pretty complicated in 3d, thats why i put this question on forum, if someone has experience with it.
