Hi,

I'm trying to create a axissymetric mesh using the makeAxialMesh command. I'm getting the following message:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Symmetry plane 'center' is not planar.
At local face at (0 996.212 25) the normal (0 0 0) differs from the average normal (-0.20202 0 0) by 0.0408122
Either split the patch into planar parts or use the symmetry patch type

From function symmetryPlanePolyPatch::n()
in file meshes/polyMesh/polyPatches/constraint/symmetryPlane/symmetryPlanePolyPatch.C at line 64.

FOAM exiting

The fact remains that a surface which is clearly planar (defined by points with same z-values) is classified as non-planar. I have changed the patch type to symmetry but the problem persists. Any help is appreciated.
