Hi,
I was going through the code for LPT in OF (at least in version 5.x). In calcVelocity() of KinematicParcel, at some point two variables abp and bp are computed. From what I understood, the forces are computed considering a force per unit slip velocity (Sp) and an explicit force (Su). The drag is given in terms of Sp. However, when the total force is computed, Sp is only multiplied by Uc_, not by Uc_-U. Is this expected behaviour? If so, why? Last edited by ffran; February 14, 2023 at 13:21. Reason: Found a typo in my math which explains it |
