Dear all,
I am now using the tutorial case 3Dwaves to generate stokes 2nd order wave in one direction so I modified the other two wave inlets to wave outlets. However, I find a really strange problem when I take a look at the volume filed alpha at time 0 in the paraview. In my first case, I use the original definition of B.C. in the tutorial case that all of the three walls in inlet0 are included in the relaxation zone and the outlet is chosen to initialize the whole domain. However, the water surface in the inlet0 region shown in the figure below still has elevation. Why the initial condition specified by the outlet does not work in this region? In my second case, I modified the B.C. in inlet0 where I changed the B.C. for the two lateral walls from wave input to slip one. The water surface at time 0 is much better than the previous case, however, there still exist elevation decline at the inlet wall. Does anyone experience similar problem? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated! |
