Hello, I'm sorry if this is more of a Linux/Docker issue than strictly a waves2foam issue, but I was hoping someone might be able to help me out as I haven't been able to find the solution online. Basically I am running openFoam v1606 from a Docker container, as recommended on the openFoam website. This works fine, but when trying to install waves2foam I can't do the SVN step (svn co http://svn.code.sf.net/p/openfoam-ex...her/waves2Foam) from inside the Docker container, because for some reason Docker doesn't recognise that the file /usr/bin/svn exists.
I can do this step from outside the Docker container, but as far as I can understand, that is not what is required for the waves2foam installation. Sorry if this is not really within the remit of this thread. As I say, I suspect that it is my lack of knowledge of Linux that is letting me down, rather than anything specifically to do with waves2foam. However if anyone could point out where I'm going wrong I'd be extremely grateful, as I am really looking forward to using waves2foam - it seems that it will be extremely useful for my research. Thanks in advance, Richard |

Hello again Ahmed. I got the installation to work - I just needed to do the SVN step outside of Docker, and then copy the downloaded waves2foam directory into the applications/utilities directory before running the Allwmake script from there, inside Docker. I'm going to have a go with the tutorials now.
Thanks again for your suggestion. Richard |
