We have decided to make our in-house load balanced chemistry model public.
The repository can be found here and a paper for further details here. We currently support versions 7 and 8 for OpenFOAM. Short summary: DLBFoam acts as an alternative for the StandardChemistryModel with an added redistribution of the _chemistry_ load between processes before computing the cell-specific reaction rates. This overcomes the bottleneck of few processes determining the overall computation time due to having many reactive cells while other processes are idle. Feel free to ask any further questions! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eneil4LaPIc Last edited by hamsteri15; November 17, 2020 at 08:18. |
