Hi all!
I'm trying to simulate a solitary wave that propagates in a two dimensional flume. I succeded creating the 2D flume with the desired dimension and i'm generating the solitary wave at a specific location in time t=0. I will attach the waveProperties.input file. I have a few question regarding the parameters to set in the waveProperties.input file: 1. If I want to give a period to my wave, say T=20s, why is the period not there in the output waveProperties file? Instead, I gest some L1 and L3 values. what are these? 2. If I want to set the location of the crest at x0, is it correct the way I do it in my file? should I also change the y coordinate since the wave is 0.0716m heigh and y=0 corresponds to still water level? 3.How do I know the celerity of m wave? Celerity of solitary wave should be the same as shallow water waves, hence sqrt(g*(d+a)) where d is the depth and a is the amplitude. Is this alredy set in the code, given that I prescribe the d values and also the heigh( which is the same as the amplitude for a solitary wave)? 4.What are GABCsettings? What is the celerity factor? 5.What is Tsoft of the outletCoefficients? Thank you all! |
