Hi everyone,

I have so far read a lot of things about docker, machines, containers .. but still I cant run openfoam commands on the windows cmd. I need to run the commands from the typical cmd terminal of windows.

Thanks

You may install the windows port from cfd support

http://www.cfdsupport.com/de/openfoam-for-windows.html

The standard is running the program from a windows version of bash. It is possible however, to use the cmd console. You have to set the execution path to all libraries the program requires, that's all.

Thanks. The thing is that I wan to make a batch file which includes a set of commands:

1) start openfoam container
2) go to directory of openfoam case
3) run openfoam solver

So, is it possibe?

For that, you don't need to use the command shell. The bash will do this as well and without problems with search paths. Simply write a shell script, which is very similar to a batch file of cmd.
