Hi Foamers !,
I am trying to compile openfoam8 from source in ubuntu 20.04, gcc version 9.3.0. I followed the instructions provided here https://openfoam.org/download/source...arty-software/. Installation of Scotch was successful. However, the makeParaView script failed to download ParaView-5.6.3. The terminal displays the download progress till 100% but it followed by the failure message "Download unsuccessful, ParaView download failed. Re-run to retry download". Further I downloaded and extracted paraview (from link provided in README) in a folder titled ParaView-5.6.3 under ThirdParty-8 but I am unsure how to proceed proceed further with/without using the makeParaView script. Any help in this regard would be really helpful. Cheers ... |

By the way, now I use the paraview package installed separately.
( touch caseName.foam before launching paraview ) though paraFoam may do much more stuff which I may not require at this point |
