I would like to use OpenFOAM on an IBM pSeries 690 parallel supercomputer with AIX compilers installed.
Questions: 1) Has anybody experience with OpenFOAM on such a system? 2) How good is the parallel performance of OpenFOAM on distributed and/or non-distributed memory machines and is it somewhere documented (would be usefull/neccessary for me to get an account and installation support on the machine)? Thanks! |

2) the parallel performance on these machines with a good interconnect network is very good and basically limited by the quality of the decomposition. You will probably want to use the native MPI instead of lam.
