dear all,

I didn't know if posting the thread with the prefix technical or salome, as I am using it and came from this my doubts.
I have seen all around the forum people using for example Gmsh as their mesher. Also the existence of engrid mesher that uses netgen as mesher and I use salome to create my surfaces meshes as recomendation from different people in this forum. but when choosing the 2D algorith to mesh my surface, in Salome I have different options, mefisto, netgen 2D, Gmsh, MG-CADSurf... I can see differences in the results of the surface mesh, but I am really lost from the background of the algorithms. I tried to search the differences without a lot of luck.....
someone has any recommendations in where to go to understant the differences between the different algorithms? as for example in salome I can choose Gmsh algorithm but Gmsh is also a software and inside of it, it has different algorithms, and (Imight be wrong) but I think is the same also for netgen (that is a also a software like Gmsh)?

best regards, franco
