Assuming you got the msh file from Gmsh, you can use the utility gmshToFoam

I used Pointwise for 3d mesh and exported the boundary point owner faces and neighbour file. Now I want to know my next stepd to use it in openFoam.

1. Is it possible to use 3d mesh (not setting any domain as empty) from pointwise to run 2D simulation in openfoam?
2. How should I st the Boundary conditions?

I didn't know that Pointwise is the name of the meshing software. Here is the first search result I got when I searched for "Pointwise to OpenFOAM":

Again, I am sure that you can find tutorials on how to run a 2D simulation on OpenFOAM if you search for them.
