Hi Foamers,
I need to generate an inclined mesh as mentioned in the picture bellow. Is it possible using blockMesh ? Otherwise what do you recommend? Thanks in advance! |

You can quite easily transform or rotate a mesh using rotateMesh or transformPoints. I would make your basic mesh in blockMesh, and then rotate it to whatever angle you require.

Thank you for your prompt response,
In fact, I'd already tried to rotate the mesh but i cannot get the desired result as you can see in the picture below |

Hi Asmaa
I guess you would like the orientation of the cell faces to match your example. Perhaps try generate a blockMesh as your background mesh with your desired resolution, then use snappyHexMesh with a block angled at 30˚, such as the example below. |

Hi Brian,
This is exactly what I am looking for, how can I do it? Is there any similar tutorial in Openfoam? |

Hi Asmaa
Not sure if there is a tutorial. I will attached the case below for you to have a look. The STL and the background mesh was made in Salome and converted for openFOAM. You can quite easily just use blockMesh instead for the background mesh. InclinedMesh.tar.gz |
