Hi,
My objective is to simulate the flow around a cube with rounded edges (3D) inside a domain in OpenFOAM, but I am struggling with generating a good mesh. So far I have tried gmsh and cfmesh (buil in OpenFOAM) but I cannot define the mesh as I want. My objective is to create an hexahedral structured mesh with the following regions: 1. Around the walls of the cube, I want to model the boundary layer, so I need 10 layers with a very small height in the direction normal to the surfaces of the cube (to fulfill y+<1 criteria). 2. After the boundary layer, I need a region with a cell size around 1/20 the characteristic length of the cube. 3. In the rest of the domain, the cells should get bigger as we move away from the cube. Do you have any suggestion on which tool I could use for this? Ideally, I would like to define my geometry and my mesh with the same tool. Any help is welcome, Thanks in advance. Cristina |
