Hi all,
I'm new to the forums (and CFD). I have looked through the forums a lot for the help, and I'll do my best to provide what everyone needs to help me. I am having trouble getting addLayers to completly cover the stl I am using (I am doing work on ship hulls, in this case 5512). I have looked through these threads (Layers don't fully surround surface and Layers:problem with curvature) as well as these slides (http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...s.tgz/download) through the and tried the suggestions, however, I'm still having issues. I have both my featureAngle and resolveFeatureAngle to 180, reduced refinement near high contour surfaces, and messed around with other advanced settings to no avail. I am hoping to achieve a y+ of around 100 near my hull at the nearest layer. I realize in this image the transition between cell thickness is not ideal, and beyond this, I have not provided enough refinement for sHM to snap properly, however, I'm simply looking for a solution to the lack of layering first. Thank you for any advice! |
