Hello

I was wondering how I can view meshes I have created when using openFoam through a SSH server to my school's High Performance Computers. I am on windows and usually use the touch case.foam command to use paraview when not using SSH. Any help would be appreciated.

LuckyTran has a spectacular aura aboutLuckyTran has a spectacular aura aboutLuckyTran has a spectacular aura about
Code:
touch case.foam
This creates an empty file named case.foam. Normally this doesn't do anything else. So it looks like you have a custom built configuration that automatically launches ParaView when you do touch case.foam.

Normally, you would need to create a dummy file ending in .foam. In ParaView, you would tell ParaView to open this dummy file simply because it always asks for a file. For example in Fluent that would be a .cas file and in Star-CCM this would be a .sim file. OF cases follow a different structure involving folders and you cannot tell ParaView to open a directory, hence the need to create a fake file to trick ParaView.

If you have openfoam setup, you can also try paraFoam (which is a wrapper to simply create the empty .foam file, lauch ParaView, and automatically points it to the .foam file).
