Hi to all OF users and experts,
Hope you guys are doing well! I have been using OF software for a few months and still considered myself very new here, mainly on calcalting drag resistance. As you can see in the attachment i wasnt able to get a stable value for my normal pressure force. As for my viscous force it converges around 1600 iterations but the pressure forces doesnt seems to be converging. Would like to know where should i focus to improve my simulation. Any hints or comments will suffice. It will be great if anyone can help me on this! I am looking to calculate the total resistance on the DTC hull case. Regards, JL |

You shoud share the case files. Without them, intuitively i can say that problem might be related with initial conditions, if the case is unstructured, OF become very sensitive to initial conditions. My second advice would be limiting the turbulence and energy schemes. But these two advices are only valid if you iterate long as should be becase it seems that analysis might run a little more though. Ooops, also share the residual plots.
