I am currently using the OpenFOAM v2206 to simulate the flowfield around a sphere under Re=3700~10000. The solver is pimpleFoam.
The pressure distribution and the wall shear stress distribution around the sphere; velocity profile, Mean(u'u') and turbulent kinetic energy k in the downstream are chosen for validation.
The monitors of the velocity profile, Uprime2Mean and the k are already done with set up the fieldfunctions in the controldict.
However, I wonder how to output the wall shear stress around the sphere?

An example of the wall shear stress distribution is shown as follow.

Once the model finishes, type

HTML Code:
pimpleFoam -postProcess -func wallShearStress
After that you will be able to see the wall shear stress in paraView. Load only the patches where you want to see the stress.

Thank you so much. I will try it.
