jens_klostermann is on a distinguished road
I define a volScalarField linP = gradP * (flowDirection & (mesh.C()))
,where gradP is a constant scalar and flowDirection a unitvector (both as in channelOodles)

if I now check mag(fvc::grad(linP)) it is not equal gradP, why?

Is there a way to improve this?
