Hello everyone
I am new here and newbie in OpenFoam. I construct solar telescope and I need help with solar heat stop (trap). I created model of iris in freecad a I used netgen to meshing. When I run netgenNeutralToFoam and then run paraFoam I get model of iris (with attachment). This proces run without errors. And now I have some questions: This iris will be located in focus of primar mirror. On the iris will be image of the Sun from primary mirror with size (diameter) 11 mm and temperature about 1000 K. 1. How I can add this heat source to iris? This iris will be shiny and reflectivity will be about 70-80%. In the little hole of the iris which has diameter 3 mm will be full temperature from sun image 1000K. 2. How I set reflectivity? The water cooling will be on temperature about 300 K. I need to know temperature on internal wall where is air. 3. Which solver will be the best ? Can i use laplacianFoam? Thank you very much for your time. Best regards Tom |
