hello all, I am trying to run a case of fluid structure interaction with forced motion. My case is a horizontal rectangular beam in a fluid flow, where I want to give a forced transverse motion to the leading edge of the beam and then switch on the FSI. But it's not working. Can anyone please help.

Hi,
I'm also trying to force a motion with FSI. For example, I'm trying to force a rotation of a flat plate instead of having a "no-displacement" condition. The rotation is forced on the solid mesh with timeVaryingFixedRotation. I've have some really strange behaviour at the fluid structure interface. The fluid mesh does not follow the solid mesh, especially where the motion is forced (cf picture). Did you manage to make it work ? I suppose a change in fsi.updateDisplacement() or fsi.moveFluidMesh() but I haven't found a solution for now. Regards, Paul |
