Hello dear foamers,
I am studying a mesh in order to solve flow around a cylinder at Reynolds 100. When I compare my vortex shedding frequency with the value in the literature I get 5 percent error. Error due to drag coefficient is 8 percent. I need to decrease these error. I think its because of mesh. How can I avoid these types of shape of mesh? I have 90,000 cells. My setup folders are attached. Any help will be appreciated. I used snappyHex, extrudeMesh, topoSet and refineMeshDict in order to generate a 2D mesh with less computational cost. Thank you very much |

I recommend you to try open source mesh generation program GMSH. Its quite straightforward to use and you can easily define your cell spacing and refinemet factors.
