wave simulation

Hello
i need to simulate a wave tank and i tried to do the tutorial in openfoam 5 which is solving by interfoam but i am new with CFD and openfoam i dont know what to do?

Depending on the geometric complexity and level of detail, you can skip the need for CFD and consider just solving the wave equation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave_equation).

If CFD truly is needed, the basics should be covered in the interFoam tutorial. The steps are as always: determine a domain, mesh it, pick models, decide on boundary conditions and pick a solver. Then make sure the solver converges to a solution, then post-process. Just asking how to do it makes it very difficult to help you, because nobody else understands the problem. If you want to pose the problem and ask for a complete solution; consider a consulting firm. If you're stuck on one of the steps described above, look at tutorials and try to learn what's needed. Still stuck; pose a detailed question here and hope someone can help you.
