Greetings!

I would like to create two meshes of the domain, with different refinements. Initially I am trying to create perfectly overlapping meshes, with corresponding BCs, but eventually I plan to keep the refined mesh as a subdomain of the coarse main mesh. The ideal scenario is a mix of two reference I describe below - eventually, i would like to solve different equations on the two meshes, and interpolate data between the two.

My question is how do I place the two meshes in the case structure, so as to obtain a good framework to apply meshToMesh/meshToMesh0 for intepolation.

This post talks about mapping between two meshes, and seems closest to what I would like to do, but I cannot understand how the mesh creation and case organization works in this situation:

Map fields every time step

If I create IOobject like this, where does it read the "regionSource". Does this replace the #include "createMesh.H" line in my application?

In meshToMesh, I have source and target Mesh pointers, but I am confused as to where these objects are to located and named.

For the region specific solver part, I suppose I can invoke different codes based on region name, modifying the basic fluid and solid distinction, but interpolation in the chtMultiregionFoam cases have conjugate domains with A-to-B kind of boundaries generated by splitMesh. I am not looking to split the mesh and have these kind of boundaries, but have two polyMeshes.

If anyone has some experience with this, I would really appreciate some rough starting pointers and important tools/possible logical series of steps, as right now I am with a lot of scattered ideas and utterly confused.

Hi Rishikesh,
Have you solved this problem cause I am encountering a similar situation?

Best,
Yao
