Dear Foamers,

Is it possible to map a field between two cases using mapFieldsPar, where the meshes have been decomposed with different number of subdomains in both cases?

I am currently trying to do this and get this error:

Code:
[0] --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: (openfoam-2306)
[0] number of processor directories = 2560 is not equal to the number of processors = 4096

[0]FOAM parallel run exiting
With the same number of subdomains in both cases, I can map the fields (even if the cases have different decomposition orders). But with different numbers of subdomains it doesn't work. Reconstructing the mesh is not an option for me due to label size and memory limitations. Both meshes were created in parallel and it is not possible to create/transfer to a single/serial domain.

Best regards,

Ege
