Hey everyone,
I am currently working on a case where I am simulating a flow through a duct. In this case, an entrance length is taken into account in which the flow is first formed before it flows into the actual duct. Currently I simulate the entrance length (which is about 5 times as long as the actual duct) with every simulation, but I was wondering if it would be possible to take the flow field after the entrance length and use this as a new inlet/boundary condition for the actual duct in my /0 folder. So I would have the formed flow profile at the actual inlet of my flow and could remove the duct for the entrance length from the simulation again. However, I haven't figured out how to tap my values for U, p, k, ... at a cross-sectional area to use that as a nonuniform inlet condition. I would be glad if someone could help me further.
