I simulate the cooling of an lectrical drive and I use the Ansys Company Products.
I generate the mesh for one wedge (one rotor pole) with around 1.2 Milion cells, after that I rotate the original wedge fiteen times in order to have a Model for a Quarter of a Mashine with 18 Milions but at that moment CFX-pre get so slow that I need to try other Programs. For example if I close CFX-pre, it takes around two hours for CFX-pre with my new PC to be opened again.
How fast would FoamX work with a 16 Milion Cells Model (12 Milion Hexahedre and 4 Milion Tetrahedre). ?
