Origin of rotorDiskSource implemented in fvOptions

Hello!
Does anyone know where the rotorDiskSource model in OF is coming from? Is it based on any paper or text? I am trying to understand how does the model work under the hood, it's way better to have a reference to look at. Thanks in advance for any useful info! - Raye |
