Hi all,
I am struggling to get heat transfer in my solid regions for my chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam simulations in version 2.2.2. However the same case in 2.1.1 runs perfectly. I must be doing something daft. I've made two cases, one to fit the format of 2.1.1 and the other to fit with 2.2.2. The case is a simple 2d counterflow heat exchanger with three regions (that I kindly borrowed from http://goo.gl/0RSgaf) which is simply two fluid regions separated by a solid region. If you run the 2.2.2 case you'll notice a trivial amount of heat transfer inside the solid region. It's baffling to me. I'd be grateful for any input into this. Is it just a case of my not translating the bc/material properties properly? The reason I ask is because all my other cht cases in 2.2.2 exhibit the same behaviour. Thanks! Dave |
