Hi, everyone
I am interested to the release of Foam-extend-3.0 with the improvement of GGI parallel computing. So I want to try the unsteady simulation of transonic compressor stage by using Foam-extend-3.0. The flow inside the chosen compressor is unsteady, transonic and turbulent. The unsteady simulation is based on domain scaling. The geometry model of the transonic compressor stage includes a rotor and a stator (see the figure I uploaded), and an GGI interface is used to communicate information between them.I am concerning which kind of solver should be appreciated. Because the rotor domain mesh is rotating, so MRF should be used. Then is the solver "sonicFoam" still appreciated(at present Foam-extend-3.0 doesn`t have the solver "sonicDyMFoam")? Or should I use the solver "rhoPorousMRFPimpleFoam"?Could somebody give me some advice? Thanks very much. Kindly regards |
