Difficulties compiling with OpenFOAM 3.0

Hi,
I am relatively new to OpenFOAM and Waves2Foam. I have tried to install it on multiple versions of OF and am running into the same issue. Here are the general steps I have taken so far: 1. Installed OF 3.0 This is running correctly. I have ran many of the tutorials and everything is working perfectly. 2. Installed GSN library and downloaded the waves2Foam source code from the svn repository (newest version) 3. Modified interFoam according to the wiki page 4. Ran ./Allwmake It seems to be working fine for the first 5 minutes. I don't see any error messages. Then I start to see errors once the solvers are trying to be compiled. Does it look like I am missing some major step here? I wanted to make sure that I am doing everything correctly before running Allwmake before posting my log (and because I don't have it on this current computer). If everything looks fine so far, I can go get the log and post it. Thanks for your time and sorry if this has been answered somewhere before. I have searched through this thread extensively and can't figure out what is wrong. |

In regards to my last post a few days ago, here is my log showing the errors I am getting when running Allwmake. I have been working on this for several days and can't figure out what is going wrong. I greatly appreciate any help.

Good morning Toodles,
You have not installed all dependencies, i.e. you do not have a fortran compiler. Kind regards, Niels

Hi Niels,
Thank you for getting back to me. I installed a fortran compiler and retried, however I am still getting similar errors pertaining to -lwaves2Foam. I have been at this for a week now and feel like a huge dork that I can't get this running. Very frustrating. Anyways, I attached the errors I'm getting now. I really appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks. |

Hi Toodles,
You have only shown a part of the compilation process and the problems occur earlier, so I cannot tell you, what goes wrong. However, make sure that you have all dependencies; see the wiki-page. Kind regards, Niels

Hi,
I finally got it running. Didn't realize I didn't have git. Stupid of me since it is clearly listed on the dependencies. Thanks for all of your help. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future! Thanks |
