I am trying to simulate a LES for density current case (driving force is density difference not pressure difference) . Using the Boussinesq approximation.

I am using the dynamic Smagorinsky library uploaded by Alberto. The library calculates the Smagorinsky constant in real time.

I understand that we need a dynamic process to calculate and update the Turbulent Schmidt number as well. That will help us in calculating the SGS flux in the filtered scalar transport equation for density transport

I am wondering if somebody has used dynamic Smagorinsky library for density currents and wrote the subroutine for updating the Turbulent Schmidt number as well (as described in Moin's 1991 paper).

On a separate note: Do you think this updation is required at all. What will be consequences of using a constant value for Turbulent Schmidt number.

Hello guys, I have recently published some work related to SGS modelling of turbulent scalar transport in Buoyant flows:

Check it out! PM me if you are interested in details.
