I'm simulating vortex induced vibration of a cylinder.
Firstly I used movingWallVelocity boundary condition for cylinder wall in U file. I employed simpleFoam to obtain the steady (but not stable) flow fields. The velocity of the cylinder is zero in this case, so this is equivalent to setting the velocity boundary condition of the cylinder as fixedValue (0 0 0). Then, I used the flow fields from simpleFoam as initial condition in pimpleDyMFoam. In the obtained flow fields from simpleFoam, I'm not able to set the boundary condition again, because now the U file is full of data. My question is, in the pimpleDyMFoam simulation, is the velocity boundary condition still movingWallVelocity? |
