Changing rotorDiskSource from source to sink

Hi guys,
I've been trying to compare two actuator disk models available on OF (actuationDiskSource and radialActuationDiskSource) with the fvOption rotorDiskSource in order to use it to represent a wind turbine. The problem is: the two actuator disk models seems to work fine, but the rotorDiskSorce works - as its name says - like a source of momentum, and this is not the behavior of a wind turbine, it is more like a fan... So I began to think how could I change it to a sink of momentum instead of a source, and even if it is possible to do so. Has anyone tried it before? It is interesting to analyze it because it is possible to input the rotational speed of the rotor, and in the first to models it is not possible, so theoretically the rotorDiskSource would be closer to reality. I'm sending some images from the results so you can have a better idea of what I', talking about. In all cases the input profile is a very simple atmospheric boundary layer. Although it is not recommended, I tried to modify the rotorDiskSource source file, but it made no difference (I did it carefully!). I would be thankful if someone can help me! This is part of my masters thesis, in case you may want to know why I'm asking for help! =) Best Regards, Luis |

I am currently looking into this as well. Have you made any more progress?
