I am facing issues getting my cht simulation to run without blowing up at various places in the mesh which change refinement levels. I am using SHM which is meshing okay. My results run but I have to limit the temperatures (via fvOptions) to keep from errors due to negative temperatures.
Attached is a picture of one such place in a solid domain. In the _points picture the upper and lower temperatures at at the limits (300 lower, 370 upper). In the _cell picture the issue is not as apparent. I cannot run a uniform cell refinement across the domain due to size limitations. I have tried with various combinations of relaxation in the fluid and solid domains without good success. I have 6 solid domains and 1 fluid domain. Any suggestions or techniques to manage this better or help prevent it from happening? Solver is chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam. temp_artifact_cell_data.jpg temp_artifact_point_data.jpg |
