Hi OpenFOAM users,

After a long stint with GGI I am now shifted to AMI. I would like to understand in depth the functionality AMI. I am running Propeller (tutorial case).

As far my experience with Foam-extend GGI we usually use faceZones in decomposeparDict to define it as preservePatches or in globalFaceZones which would help us, to run the case in parallel. Is it the same when it comes to AMI? Because nowhere the faceZones got mentioned - Please correct me if I am wrong.

In AMI we define cellZones in dynamicMeshDict and it is understood that, this zone has the mesh motion.

Please let me know the significance of creating faceZones in propellor tutorial, as I have not found satisfactory answer for this question in this forum. Your answer would help me to understand the concept of AMI.

Thanks in advance
