Hey foamers,
I'm new to openfoam and I had a very basic question . I'm using openfoam 2.0.1 I'm trying to use rotatingvelocityBC. I realised that I wanted to use the BC in a slightly different manner than how it was coded. I made some changes to the .C file for this BC in the installation directory.(rotatingWallVelocityFvPatchVectorField. c) Now ,I'm using the simplefoam solver. When I ran the simulation again I got the same results. I compiled the solver again and ran the simulation , however got the same result. Do we have to compile the rotatingWallVelocityFvPatchVectorField.C file again for the changes to the reflect . If yes , how ? Appreciate the help |

Of course you have to compile your .C file, but you shouldn't modify them in the $FOAM_SRC directory. Make a copy of it and modify that one. You can find a lot of examples on the internet how to write your own solver and compile it.
You can find more details here: https://cfd.direct/openfoam/user-gui.../#x10-710003.2 |
