Hello to all here. I am trying to use dynamic smagorinsky LES model in openfoam 4.1, but it gives the error message that:
Code:
[1] Unknown LESModel type homogeneousDynSmagorinsky

Valid LESModel types:

10
(
DeardorffDiffStress
Smagorinsky
SpalartAllmarasDDES
SpalartAllmarasDES
SpalartAllmarasIDDES
WALE
dynamicKEqn
dynamicLagrangian
kEqn
kOmegaSSTDES
)
So, the first question is, how can I use the dynamic smagorinsky model in OpenFOAM?

Second question, I have previously done some simulations in openfoam 2.1.1 with using the homogeneousDynSmagorinsky model, is it the same thing with dynamic smagorinsky LES model?

Thanks and kind regards.

There is no longer a dynamic smagorinsky model included with the release. You'll have to port it from one made for a previous release.

Is there a reason for you not to use the dynamic Lagrangian Smagornsky model?
