Hi,
I have been using icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam for simulating flow of a single particle, and have noticed that the solver calculates the volume of a particle by using the formula for the volume of a sphere, i.e. 4/3 * pi * (d/2)³.
For example, for a diameter of 3 mm the volume would be equal to 1.41e-8 m³, which is what I get in the output file.

However, when choosing a nonSphereDragForce model, the volume remains the same, even though the particle shouldn't be a sphere anymore. Am I correct in thinking that the modelled particle behavior is then wrong, considering that a non spherical particle should have a different volume than a spherical one? Is there maybe a way to change how the volume is calculated?

Thanks for your help
