zl6180297 is on a distinguished road
Dear all,

I am very new to OpenFOAM and when i was writing my first solver and testing it with the 1D sinusoidal wave propagation, the sine wave seems to dissipate during propagation which does not make any sense to me.

I implemented the wave propagation equation in the solver and create a 1D case with sinusoidal wave inflow and wave-transmissive boundary condition.but the result shows the peaks of the sine wave decreased along the propagation direction. i am very confused and hope to get some answer from you.

Thank you very much

jia
