Hello,

I'm a relatively new user of openFOAM and am trying to decide which solver would be best for me to use. I'm modeling slosh in a tank where gravity is very low and surface tension forces become important. Because of this, it seems like multiphaseInterDyMFoam is probably the best solver because the description mentions the ability to specify contact angle and surface tension. But any other user I've talked to working on similar problems have used interDyMFoam, and I can't seem to see any difference between the tutorial files. I don't see contact angle defined anywhere in the multiphaseInterDyMFoam tutorial case, and it seems like you can specify surface tension in interDyMFoam anyway.

Does anyone have any experience with low-gravity two-phase flows who prefers one over the other?

Thanks!

Hi spaceplumber (cool name by the way),
I don't know much about multiPhaseInterDyMFoam but adding contact angles for the case can be given through boundary conditions of alpha.(phaseName)
Pleae read the linked thread
How to use constant alpha contact angle in OF 2.1.1
